The Gabrielle Union Fan Club (GUFC) founded on June 29, 2000 by the web developing company, LadyJ Designs, was the first and only website for actress Gabrielle Union. Originally, the site contained very little information: bio, pictures, films, and a few article. As the pictures show, the earlier designs were very simple. As the years passed, more information became available about Gabrielle bringing about changes in the design schemes, as well as the creation of the facts, transcripts, wallpaper, and the article archive. Today GUFC currently displays its ninth design.

(The versions are as follows index 2000, index 2 2000, publisher 2001, bubbles 2002, temp 2002, ask gabby 2002, red fusion 2002, version chr0me 2003, and blacknblue 2003)

In the spring of 2002, GUFC moved from its angelfire.com domain to its present domain. This move occurred due to bandwidth problems. In April of 2002, GUFC moved to from angelfire.com to gabrielleunion.net. The move helped accommodate the higher visitor rates.

As of 2002, GUFC was receiving about 80 unique hits per day. Unique hits are new visitors to the site, or people who have not been to the site recently. Now, in 2003, with Gabrielle’s success, GUFC has grown to receive 200 to 2,000 unique hits per day.

In addition, Gabrielle Union and her family visit GUFC periodically. With the growth and success of this site, GUFC now has a three person staff to assist with the day-to-day functions.

Founder.21. Arizona. This is what I like to call my simple autobiography. If you would like to contact Gabrielle please send a letter to her fanmail address, not to me!

I'm 16 years old, and I live in Detroit, MI. I am a scholar in school, and I am an aspiring actor/director. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE drama, film, and writing. So far, I have written, produced and directed two public service announcements, a short teleplay, and a documentary on violence. I have been in various plays and a few public service announcements, and I am also a member of a rigorous theatre group called Reader's Theatre. I feel that there is an enormous need for more African-Americans in Hollywood, especially powerful behind-the-scenes forces. ESPECIALLY WOMEN! I love Gabrielle because she is a great actress, and though I haven't met her face to face, to me, she is very real and a genuinely nice person. She is a huge INSPIRATION to me as a black woman and as an actress. I admire who she is, and I show nothing but love and support for her. I plan to attend New York University for college, and either reside in New York or California. Watch out for me in the coming years!

Hi everybody! I guess I'm the oldest staff member. I am 31 years old and I am from Miami, Florida. I have lived in various places since graduating from college -- Dallas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Detroit and St. Louis. But, I can honestly say that it's nice to be back home in Miami. I'm an internal auditor (not exactly like the IRS but close) and have had the opportunity to do a great deal of travel around the world in this position. Like anything in life, the job has ups and downs, but I can honestly say that it's been mostly positive. Tiauna has done such a great job with this website and I admire her dedication to making it a success. I want to help out in any way that I can. And of course, I'm a Gabby fan and would like to see her take it to that next level in her career. I like her representation of African American women in films. She demonstrates that we are not a stereotype. Also, her personal life is a testimony that you can overcome obstacles in your life and live out your wildest dreams.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin is where I have lived for all of the 20 years of my life. I'm an Administrative Assistant at a computer technology company. I'm also a college student majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Web Design. One of my goals after graduating is to be a successful owner of an African-American bookstore.

Up until January of 2003, I served in the Air Force for nine years. Currently, I am finishing up my B.S. in Human Resource Management and I work full-time as a Customer Relations Manager for a government agency. I am originally from Georgia and I have lived in Arizona, Texas, Hawaii, and now Maryland, where I’ve finally settled for the last three years. I joined the Air Force because I wanted to get away from the small town that I grew up in and I wanted to earn money for college, but after my first year I met so many people from different cultures and backgrounds. I am convinced that these people/experiences helped shape my life. I considered myself a good listener and I am very open-minded. One of the reasons I decided to become a teen peer is because I feel that sometimes, young people need to talk to adults who are not their parents; they need someone who is willing to listen to them.

My name is Yanna Ogletree Iam a 24 year old from Atlanta, Ga. I have been here in Atl all of my life born and raised. I work as a cardivascular catherization specialist at one of Atlanta's largest hospitals. I love all of my patients and I love working closely with them. I am about to back to go back to school to pursue a degree in medicine to become a cardiologist. I have no kids that I have given birth to but I have lots of Godkids, a cockerspaniel that is the joy of my life right now, and my niece whom I have put through high school. I have been raising her since I was 19 years old when my mom died and she just graduated with the class of 2003 this summer and she leaves for the navy the 1st week of november. She wants to be a mortician. So this website is something new and exciting for me I love Gabrielle Union and I am elated to be apart of something in her honor to help uplift Gabby in the rising of her career.
