HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - There was no ``Waiting to Exhale'' as the men had their say at the premiere of Screen Gems' ``The Brothers'' Wednesday at the Loews Century Plaza Theater.

``It's a movie that everybody can relate to because it's about love,'' said star Morris Chestnut (``The Best Man'').

Chestnut and D.L. Hughley, star of television series ''The Hughleys,'' agreed the leading men, including Bill Bellamy and Shemar Moore, had great chemistry. ``I still miss working with those guys,'' Hughley admitted.

Bellamy said he was attracted to the project because his role allowed him to expand beyond comedy. ``The role was funny and serious.''

Co-star Gabrielle Union, most recently seen as the first black love interest on NBC's ``Friends,'' said she loved her part because ``the character wasn't stupid.''

Writer-director Gary Hardwick was on hand to talk about his movie, which he said combines ``comedy, romance and drama.'' Hardwick, who previously wrote ``Trippin,''' makes his directorial debut on ``The Brothers.''
